18-year-old suffers puncture wounds after attack

Did you see a man being attacked in Royal East Street, Leicester, on Thursday (26 January) evening?

An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital with puncture wounds to his back and legs. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw the attack happen. We were called at 6.30pm. It is believed that 5 or 6 men, all wearing balaclavas, approached him and stabbed him.

The men arrived in a silver coloured BMW 5 series from the direction of Wood Street. The incident happened near to the junction of Wood Street and Royal East Street.
