Appeal after man found with head injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered a serious head injury following an assault in Birmingham City Centre this morning (Sunday).

Officers were called to a report of a disorder outside a restaurant in Paradise Circus, Queensway at 12.50am today.

A 27-year-old man was found with a serious head injury and was taken to hospital where he is in a serious condition.

Detective Inspector Tom Hadley from Force CID said: “Officers are currently carrying out enquiries – we believe there was a dispute outside Athens Restaurant early this morning between the injured man and three other men, resulting in the assault. The other men then left the scene. Anyone with information should call police on 101.”
