Officers are urging any witnesses to a serious assault in Charles Street, Leicester, in the early hours of Saturday morning to come forward.
The victim, a 47-year-old man, has been left with serious head injuries after the incident at around 1.30am on Saturday 17 December.
He remains in the Queen’s Medical Centre in a stable condition.
We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area of Charles Street on Friday evening into Saturday morning. The city centre was very busy with people out celebrating and we believe someone must have witnessed what happened.
