Appeal to help find missing Birmingham man

Police are appealing for information to help trace a man who has gone missing from Birmingham.

Dexter McKay, 30, was staying at an address in the Erdington area of the city and was reported missing after failing to return from a trip to the shops yesterday afternoon. (Friday 19 August).

Officers have been searching the area and are now appealing to anyone with information of his whereabouts to contact them.

He is described as a black man, around 5ft 9ins tall, clean shaven with cropped afro hair.

Inspector Matthew Tite, from Birmingham East Police, said: “We urgently need to trace Dexter and would urge anyone who has seen him to contact us.

“I would also appeal directly to Dexter to call us or come into a local police station so we can make sure that he is safe and well.”

Anyone who sees Dexter are urged to call the Locate Team on 101.
