Detectives investigating a burglary in Ashby are still appealing for witness to the incident when a cash machine was ripped from a building.
Shortly after 3am on Monday 10 July, a Bobcat was used to pull the machine from the wall of a building society in Market Street.
Extensive damage was caused to the premises and a large amount of debris was left in the road which required it to be closed for several hours.
Detectives believe three vehicles were used in the burglary, a dark coloured Audi, a silver pick-up and a Bobcat telehandler.
Detective Constable 4129 Granger, the investigating officer, said: “The Bobcat was used to ram the front of the building in order for the suspects to remove the cash machine which caused a significant amount of disruption.
“We are appealing for the public’s help to identify who was responsible.
“If you have any information about the incident we would urge you to contact us. Did you see any suspicious activity in the area? Do you know anything about the incident?
“Regardless of how insignificant you think the information is, we want to hear from you.”
