Assault in Brixham

Police are currently investigating a vicious assault which happened near Sharkham Point car park in Brixham on Tuesday 19 June.

At approximately 8.10pm police received a report of a violent attack on a 53-year-old woman whilst she was out walking her dogs.

The woman was walking in the Lane towards Sharkham Point car park, when the offenders, a man and a woman approached her from behind pushing her to the floor and throwing liquid at her.

An ambulance attended and treated the victim who has suffered visible but not serious injuries.

Police believe this was a targeted attack and are seeking information from the public who may have been in the area at the time and in particular the driver of a Ford Transit type van who may be a witness to the incident.
