Officers are appealing for witnesses following a theft outside the Co-operative bank on Exeter High Street.
The incident took place on Friday 19 January between 11:20pm and 11:45pm. The victim, an 18-year-old woman, was approached by two men after withdrawing a quantity of money from the cash point in Exeter High Street.
The cash was taken from the victim’s hands by the two offenders before they made off.
The offenders remain unidentified. The first man has been described as white, aged between 40 and 50-years-old, approximately 6ft tall with a grey beard. He was wearing a black hooded jumper with the hood up to cover his head and camouflage style trousers.
The second offender was described as a white, aged in his 20’s, approximately 5ft 8ins tall and with stubble on his face. He was wearing a grey tracksuit sweatshirt and grey tracksuit trousers.
Both offenders were seen present within a group of people in the doorway of the bank immediately prior to the theft.
PC Ed Mitchell said: “We are appealing for any information regarding the incident and ask for anyone who has information on the identity of either of the males to contact the Police non-emergency number; 101 and quote the crime reference number; CR/005843/18.”
