Cigarettes and alcohol stolen in city burglary

Detectives are appealing for information following a burglary from the Day to Day store (R K Superstore) in Southfields Drive, Leicester.

A large amount of cigarettes and alcohol was taken along with a number of phone cards and one of the tills containing cash.

The incident happened between 1.05am and 1.25am on Monday December 29 when four suspects entered the store through the rear back door.

Detective Constable 4553 Gemma Partridge, who is investigating the incident, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who knows the whereabouts of the cigarettes or alcohol or saw any of the four suspects acting suspiciously in the area at the time.

“Various brands of cigarettes and alcohol were taken in the burglary and if you are offered any for sale in suspicious circumstances, we would like to hear from you.”

One of the suspects was wearing dark clothing with a hoody and an orange stripe on the side of his trousers. Another was wearing dark clothing with a green hood and black trainers with a white sole. A third suspect was wearing a green camouflage jacket and black gloves with a white pattern.
