Police are appealing for witnesses after a classic car was vandalised in Plymouth.
The incident took place in the early hours of Friday the 17th June at a garage on Dunnet Road, Southway, Plymouth.
PC Kerry Joines, said: “The car is an MG Magnette, a classic car is the pride and joy of the owner and was stored in a garage not far from the owners home. A neighbour close to the garage called police to say the garage had been broken into and the car vandalised.
“This is a particularly sad piece of vandalism; the car is of great sentimental value and the owner had recently spent a long time and in the region of £3,000 in resorting it to its former glory. The owner was planning on using it in charity events and for weddings, only for this to happen.
“On top of that, foul and abusive language was spray painted on the walls of the garage – costs to repair this vandalism are currently unknown
“We hope that someone in the area know what happened or saw something suspicious, if you have we urge you to get in touch.”
