Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a car and pedal cyclist that has left a 24-year-old man with serious head injuries.
The collision occurred at around 8:25am yesterday morning (Wednesday 5 July) on Kendal Road near to the junction with Sampson Road in the Sparkbrook area of Birmingham.
A silver Honda Jazz was travelling from Kyotts Lake Road into Kendal Road when it collided with the cyclist, causing the man to fall off his bike. He was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to hospital.
Sergeant Alan Wood said: “Enquiries into this collision are in their early stages and I am keen to trace anyone who may have seen this incident occur. The cyclist remains in hospital where his condition is described as critical. We need help from any witnesses to piece together what has actually happened.”
