A van driver was approached in Kendal Road, Ellistown, around 11am on Wednesday (18 January). He was confronted by two men who demanded the keys to the white Volkswagen Transporter
When he initially refused, one of the men threatened him with a knife. The 30-year-old victim handed over the keys and the two men made off in the van in the direction of Ibstock Road.
The victim wasn’t injured in the incident. The van was found abandoned later the same day in Bakers Field Close, Ibstock.
The two suspects have been described as white, wearing dark clothing, one was wearing a blue jacket.
Both had their faces covered by scarves and hats. One of the men is believed to be about 6ft.

“In particular we are keen to speak to the driver of a dark coloured saloon that left the scene of the incident shortly after the robbery, they may have important information that could help with our enquiries.
