Drugs group sentenced to more than 100 years in prison

Fifteen people have been sentenced to more than 100 years in prison for their part in supplying over £1 million worth of Class A drugs across the country

Throughout the nine month investigation, officers from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit (EMSOU) seized Class A drugs cocaine and crack cocaine from locations across Leicestershire, Northampton, London and Gloucestershire.

More than £1,000,000 worth of wholesale powder cocaine, £72,000 worth of wholesale weights crack cocaine and £52,000 worth of wholesale weights of herbal cannabis were seized. The street value of this would be considerably more.

Those sentenced are:

• Sarafraz Roshanali, 30, of HMP Leicester, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after being found guilty of conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (cocaine) between 1 June 2015 and 22 March 2016; conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (crack cocaine) between 1 May 2015 and 22 March 2016; and, conspiracy to supply a Class B drug (cannabis cocaine) between 2 December and 22 March 2016

• Craig Cockram, 26, of HMP Leicester, has been sentenced to eight years after being found guilty of conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (cocaine) between 1 June 2015 and 22 March 2016

• Jamie Potter, 35, of Nuns Road, Cambridge, has been sentenced to 11 years, after being found guilty of conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (cocaine) between 1 June 2015 and 22 March 2016

• Ebony Asante, 34, of Scalpay Close, Leicester, has been sentenced to nine years, after being found guilty of conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (cocaine) between 1 June 2015 and 22 March 2016

• Ben Burrows, 30, of HMP Leicester, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after admiting possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (cocaine) on 29 January 2016 and to conspiracy to supply a Class B drug (cannabis cocaine) between 2 December and 22 March 2016; conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (cocaine) between 1 June 2015 and 22 March 2016; and conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (crack cocaine) between 1 May 2015 and 22 March 2016

• Harinder Singh, 45, of Smethwick, has been sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (cocaine) between 1 June 2015 and 22 March 2016; and was found guilty of possessing criminal property (cash) on 10 November 2015

• Kyle Denton, 28, of Greater Manchester, has been sentenced to eight months suspended for two years, and ordered to carry out 80 hours unpaid work, after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply a Class B drug (cannabis cocaine) between 2 December and 22 March 2016 at an earlier hearing

• Rajinder Dutt, 40, of HMP Leicester, has been sentenced to 16 years in prison, after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (cocaine) between 1 June 2015 and 22 March 2016; conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (crack cocaine) between 1 May 2015 and 22 March 2016; and, conspiracy to supply a Class B drug (cannabis cocaine) between 2 December and 22 March 2016

• Arkadius Sadowski, 32, of HMP Leicester, has been sentenced to 10 months, after admitting to conspiracy to supply a Class B drug (cannabis cocaine) between 2 December and 22 March 2016

• Daniel Johnson, 43, of Walsall, has been sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (cocaine) between 1 June 2015 and 22 March 2016

• Jaswinder Johal, 43, of Smethwick, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (cocaine) between 1 June 2015 and 22 March 2016

• Gurdip Singh Dosanjh, 42, of Wolverhampton, has been sentenced to two years in prison, after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (cocaine) between 1 June 2015 and 22 March 2016

• Uzair Kadodia, 30, of Gloucester, has been sentenced to six-and-a-half-years in prison, after pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (cocaine) between 1 June 2015 and 22 March 2016

• Martin Fowler, 35, of Church Road, Wanlip, has been sentenced to two years suspended for two years, and ordered to attended a six month drugs rehabilitation programme after admitting conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (crack cocaine) between 1 May 2015 and 22 March 2016

• Sammy Gunn, 36, of HMP Leicester, has been sentenced to four-and-a-half-years in prison, after admitted conspiracy to supply a Class A drug (crack cocaine) between 1 May 2015 and 22 March 2016
