Ten men and one woman have been charged for drug offences following a week of enforcement activity across Leicestershire.
Officers executed a number of warrants last week at addresses across the Leicestershire area and as a result a total of 13 people were arrested.
The 11 people have been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs. Three have also been charged with related offences.
The following individuals have been remanded to appear at Leicester Crown Court on 17 September:
Adam Mayat, 28, of Saxthorpe Road, Leicester
Yusuf Khan, 24, of Elmfield Aveue, Leicester
Abdur Sidat, 28, of Mere Road, Leicester. He has also been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence
The following individuals are due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on 13 September:
Dharmesh Bharakhda, 47, of Dovedale Road, Leicester
Nitesh Vara, 41, of Lynmouth Drive, Leicester
Jignisha Jivan, 24, of Sunbury Green, Leicester
Bhavin Jivan, 21, of Sunbury Green, Leicester
Adam-Ahmed Pelaria-Ghaswala, 21, of Bodnant Avenue, Leicester. He has also been charged with possession with intent to supply a class B drug
The following individuals are due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on 14 September:
Sanawaz Faquirbhai, 20, of Hartington Road, Leicester
Abdur Rehman Limalia, 25, of Chandos Street, Leicester
The eleventh person charged, Amir Yusuf, 22, of Cross Hedge Close, Leicester, has also been charged with possession with intent to supply a class B drug and failing to appear at court in relation to a separate offence.
He appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Friday (17 August) and was remanded for breaching previous licence conditions.
A 23-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, both from Leicester, were also arrested as part of the operation and have been released under investigation.
