The victim of a stabbing in the city centre on Wednesday morning (31 May) remains in hospital in a stable condition.
He was found injured around 12.50am at the junction of Sanvey Gate and Soar Lane by a passing police car and was taken to hospital for treatment to a stab wound.
Enquiries into the incident and the circumstances leading up to the assault are continuing. We are looking at CCTV from the area and carrying out house-to-house enquiries.
