A father and son who pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm have been sentenced today (Thursday 14 June) at Leicester Crown Court.
George Grant, 57, and 25-year-old Thomas Grant, both of Belvoir, Leicestershire, pleaded guilty to charges of Section 20 grievous bodily harm, theft, criminal damage to property and assault causing actual bodily harm, during an earlier trial.
They were both sentenced to 13 months imprisonment suspended for two years, 12 months unpaid work equating to 200 hours and ordered to pay £500 each in compensation to the victim.
Two men, 59 and 46, were injured in the assault which took place on 12 March 2016, on land off Tofts Lane in Eaton, Leicestershire.
One of the victims required hospital treatment for serious injuries.
