Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a Leicester man who has been missing from his East Park Road home for over a week.
Omar Bojang was reported missing last Tuesday (13 June), having last been seen by a family member the previous Saturday (10 June).
It’s not unusual for the 44-year-old to spend time away from home, and on previous occasions he has travelled to London and to Leeds.
However, Omar has a long-standing mental health issue for which he requires medication, and it is not known whether he has current access to this medicine.
Both his family and the police are now becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.
Omar is black and about 6ft 1ins tall. He’s stockily built and usually wears some form of head covering like a hat.
When last seen, he was wearing a long green jacket, grey jogging bottoms, a black kaftan, green trainers and had wooden beads around his neck. He was carrying a black hooked stick and a black rucksack covered in small polka dots.
Given his mental health issues, people are being advised not to directly approach Omar if they see him, but instead to contact the police on 101.
