London Road closed city-bound after serious collision

Motorists are being advised to avoid London Road city-bound following a serious collision this morning (Friday 26 June).

A pedestrian has been seriously injured after he was involved in a collision with a bus on University Road at the junction with London Road at 8.40am.

London Road city-bound from the junction of Granville Road has been closed to allow us to carry out enquiries at the scene.

It is anticipated that the road will remain closed until sometime this afternoon, diversions are in place and motorists are being advised to avoid the area.

The pedestrian has been taken to University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire by air ambulance, his condition has been described as serious.
