Police have arrested a 22-year-old man following a collision in Barwell which left one man injured and two cars damaged.
Officers were called to Kirby Road at about 10.30pm yesterday (Saturday 21 January) where a man had sustained serious injuries in the collision which involved a silver coloured car. He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
The vehicle failed to stop at the scene but was later found burnt out several miles away in the same street.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH and drink driving. He remains in custody.
