A man has been charged with murder following the death of Michael Horner in Penzance.
Officers were called to a property in Gwarvas Road, Newlyn, on Tuesday 29 December 2015 after concern was raised for the welfare of the 48-year-old man living there. On arrival officers discovered the body of Michael Horner inside.
The Force’s Major Crime Investigation Team launched a murder enquiry to investigate the circumstances of the death, and two men were arrested.
37-year-old Daniel Burgess from Newlyn, Penzance has been charged with murder and is due to appear before Bodmin Magistrates court this morning (18th August).
The other person arrested, a 43-year-old local man, will have no further policing action taken against him.
