Detectives are appealing for public help after a man was found unconscious in Braunstone, Leicester, in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 6 August).
The ambulance service was called to Benbow Rise where they found the 19-year-old man, who had sustained head injuries. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Enquiries are in their early stages and officers are currently trawling through CCTV from the local area and carrying out house to house enquiries.
Detective Sergeant Dave Speight, said: “From enquiries we’ve conducted so far it’s not clear how the man came by his injuries. CCTV shows him walking along Benbow Rise at 2.42am, he seems to be unsteady on his feet and is also captured on CCTV being assisted by two other men.
“The injured man is black, about 5ft 10ins, of slim build with short black hair and was wearing dark clothing. If you recall seeing a man fitting this description in Benbow Rise or if you assisted him then please get in touch.”
