Man found injured in city street has died

A man found seriously injured in Leicester city centre on Thursday evening (1 June) has died.

The man, aged 63, was found injured in Lower Brown Street at its junction with Norton Street at around 10.40pm.

He was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham, where he died from his injuries last night (Friday).

Enquiries have found the man was injured a result of a road traffic collision.

A 25-year-old man, from Leicester, has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released pending further enquiries.
