Man injured in Truro dog attack

Police are investigated reports of a man being injured by a dog on the playing fields near Cornish Crescent in Truro, at around 8.30pm on Saturday 20th June.

It is believed that a fight broke out between two dogs that weren’t known to each other. One of the owners tried to intervene and was subsequently bitten; he later went to Derriford hospital suffering from a number of serious head injuries which required surgery.

Police would like to speak to the owner of the other dog and anyone who witnessed the incident. The dog described as male and dark/brindle coloured, the owner is described as wearing a black hoodie, black spectacles and around 5’6”-5’8” tall.
