Motorcycle stolen during burglary in Ashby

A motorcycle was stolen during a burglary in Ashby and we need to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any part of the incident.

The burglary took place between 3.34am and 4am on Sunday (4 June) in South Street, a house was broken into and the keys to a motorcycle were stolen from inside the property.

The suspects then stole a 64 plate Yamaha XC125 motorcycle from a private car park at the back of the property.

The bike was subsequently located in Abbey Drive, Ashby around 4.45am the same day.

Two people, aged 22 and 23, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft. They have been released from custody pending further investigation.

We would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in either South Street or Abbey Drive on Sunday morning.
