Murder in city – appeal

Detectives investigating the murder of Kiran Daudia in Leicester are still keen to hear from anyone who may have important information but who have yet to come forward and speak to police.

The body of the 46-year-old woman was found in an alleyway in Cromer Street on Tuesday (17 January) morning.

Detectives are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area of Lyme Street and Cromer Street in Leicester on Monday 16 January during the late afternoon and early evening.

Mrs Daudia’s body was found in a suitcase, and detectives would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have seen someone with a suitcase in the area at the relevant times.

Detective Inspector Simon Shuttleworth said: “Lyme Street and Cromer Street and surrounding streets are busy areas of Spinney Hill, and there would have been lots of motorists and pedestrians in the area during the late afternoon and early evening on Monday.

“We urge anyone who may have seen something – particularly anything they thought seemed suspicious or unusual – to contact Police on 101 quoting incident 150 of 17 January.”
