Non-suspicious death, Barnstaple

Police were notified around 10am on Tuesday 27 June to reports of a body of a man in his 50s being discovered in the garden of a property in South Hill, Shirwell, Barnstaple.

A post mortem has been carried out and the death is being treated as non-suspicious. Formal identification has now taken place and officers have identified the man as 55-year-old Paul Frost [pictured] from South Molton.

DS Phil Leonard said: “We are trying to establish Paul’s last movements and where he went when he left North Devon District Hospital as this was the last sighting of Paul.

“I am asking for anyone who may have seen this gentleman in the area of North Devon District Hospital, the A39, Burridge area on the evening of Saturday 24 June to contact me.

“Mr Frost was described as white, 55-years-old, and with black hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a brown t-shirt, and brown shoes.”
