Officer injured in Loughborough - man charged

A 34-year-old man has been charged with a number of offences after a police officer was injured in Loughborough at the weekend.

Mark Courtney Johnson, of Armadale Drive, Leicester, has been charged with Section 18 Grievous Bodily Harm, dangerous driving causing injury, driving whilst disqualified and two counts of robbery.

He is due to appear before Leicester Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 16 August).

The charge relates to an incident on Sunday 14 August during which a yellow Ford Transit flatbed vehicle was in collision with a police officer in Allendale Road at the junction with Hillcrest Drive.
