Have you seen stolen Ford Cortina?

Police are appealing to the public to look out for a distinctive Ford Cortina stolen from Topsham over Christmas.

The fern green Mk3 Ford Cortina was left parked near to St Matthew’s Hall in Fore Street around 7.30pm on 23 December.

The owner returned around 2pm on Christmas Eve to find the car missing.

Now police are urging the public to keep an eye out for the car and report any sightings to them.

The car, valued at £1,000, is described as having patchy paintwork and the interior is in poor condition. It carries the registration number YTA 700K.

Anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously, quoting crime reference number CR/132774/14.

Rolex watch stolen in Staunton Harold

Have you been offered a men’s Rolex watch for sale in suspicious circumstances?

The gold and silver Datejust 16233 watch, along with a ladies’ gold and black Guess watch, were stolen from a house in Staunton Harold on Monday December 22.

The incident happened between 8am and 3pm on Melbourne Road and entry was gained via a ground floor window.

Detective Constable 4174 Clare Moore, who is investigating, said: “If you have been offered a Rolex or Guess watch matching the description of the stolen property for sale in suspicious circumstances, we would like to hear from you.

“It may be that you were off work and in the area at the time of the burglary and, if you witnessed the incident or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time, please get in touch.”
