Reward offered after fire in Glenfield

A reward has been offered after more than half a million pounds worth of damage was caused to a house following a fire in November last year.

The house in Glenfield Frith Drive, Glenfield, was under renovation when it was found alight on Sunday 27 November.

The victim was involved in an industrial accident at work and was left paralysed, the house was being adapted to her needs.

The fire caused extensive damage to the property which resulted in the occupant’s move into the property being significantly delayed.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out to try and identify those responsible for the fire and we hope the reward of up to £5,000 reward will help us move the investigation on.

DC Natasha Batstone is investigating the incident, she said: “The victim has been left extremely devastated by what’s happened, the renovation work was due to end soon, she’s had to remain in accommodation not suited for her needs, for a much longer period of time due to the extensive damage.

“Someone out there knows who’s responsible for the fire and we would urge them to come forward. If you have any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please get in touch.

“If the information you provide leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible, you may be eligible for the reward. Contact us or Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC 4121 Natasha Batstone on 101, quoting crime number 16*388625.
