Serious assault, Plymouth

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault in Plymouth yesterday morning [17 May] which left two men injured.

Two men and a woman were involved in an altercation at the bottom end of Fletemore Road in St Budeaux between 10.50am and 11.15am.

Both men, from Plymouth and in their 30s, sustained injuries and were taken to hospital. One with a cut to his head and a possible skull fracture and the other with a broken cheekbone.

It is believed that all parties are known to each other.

A 36-year-old man from Plymouth was arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm and released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Police are investigating the incident and appealing for witnesses to contact them. They are also keen for anyone who was driving by to provide dash cam footage.

The public may remember seeing a black Vauxhall Corsa pulled over to the side of the road next to the incident.
