Police and emergency services are at the scene of a serious collision on the A38 in the Glynn Valley, near Bodmin. Police were informed at around 2.15am of a multiple vehicle collision and a number of people seriously injured.
The collision involved a Saab and a Ford Fiesta. We have reports that following the collision at least two people were trapped in their vehicle and number of people had suffered serious, possibly life threatening injuries.
The drivers of both vehicles have been taken to hospital, as well have passengers from the vehicles.
A number of localised closures and diversions are in place.
Police are warning motorists to avoid the area as the road will be closed for quite some time as the serious collisions Investigation unit remain at the scene. Early estimates are that the road will remain closed until 11am at the earliest.
