Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision which has left one woman with life-threatening injuries
Police were called at around 4.20pm on Thursday 26 January with reports of a single car collision on the B3359, Pelynt, Looe, Cornwall.
An 84-year-old man from the Polperro area was driving his silver Suzuki which left the main carriageway and hit a hedge.
Also in the vehicle was an 84-year-old woman in the front passenger seat and an 88-year-old woman in the rear seat.
The driver received rib fractures as a result of the collision and the rear seat passenger suffered life-threatening injuries.
All three people were taken to Derriford Hospital where they are currently undergoing treatment.
A specialist forensic investigation of the scene took place, resulting in one lane of the B3359 being closed for approximately ten hours.
