Appeal After Five People Injured in Disorder in Bradford City Centre

Detectives are investigating following a large scale disorder in Bradford city centre which left five people injured.

Officers were called at 3.30am this morning (Sunday, 21 July) to Westgate at the junction of Sackville Street, Bradford, following reports of disorder on the street. From initial enquiries, it appears there has been an altercation within the Village nightclub, which has continued outside the Sackville Street club and then onto Westgate.

Appeal: Fatal Road Traffic Collision, Haw Park Lane, Wakefield

Police are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision in Wakefield.

The collision happened at around 11:25am on Friday 19 July, on Haw Park Lane near to it’s with junction with Chevet Lane.

A red Vauxhall Corsa was travelling on Haw Park Lane towards Ryhill when it was in collision with a railway bridge.

The 18-year-old male driver suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Enquiries are ongoing.

Appeal: Theft of Expensive Watch from Vehicle in Ossett

Police in Ossett are appealing for information following a theft of an expensive watch from a car on playing fields behind Springmill Golf course in Ossett.

The Tag Heuer watch valued at over £1000 was taken from the vehicle in the early hours of Friday 6th July.

PC Adrian Toon is investigating the incident and said:

“This was a 40th birthday gift of the victim and has personal sentimental value. It is quite distinctive given the brand and has a silver strap with a dark grey watch face and dials.

Appeal: Armed Robbery, Bradford

Police investigating a robbery in Bradford in which a significant amount of cash was taken by armed suspects are appealing for information.

It happened at around 7.30am on Sunday, 7 July, after an Aston Martin car parked outside the Lord Clyde Inn in Thornton Road, was struck by a silver 4×4 vehicle.

Two or three suspects in balaclavas then smashed the windows on the Aston Martin and made demands for cash from the occupant.

Appeal Following Attempted Robbery of Man in Market Hall Car Park, Huddersfield

Detectives in Kirklees are appealing for information after a man was the victim of an attempted robbery in Huddersfield.

The 47-year-old victim was walking through the ground floor of the Market Hall Car Park when he was approached by three male teenagers who made demands for a cigarette. He tried to walk away from the group but was assaulted, causing minor injuries.

The teenagers have briefly followed the victim as he left the car park onto Queen Street South.
