Appeal: Public Order Incident, Trinity Street, Huddersfield

Thursday 21st May 2020,

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen a public order incident which occurred on Tuesday 5th May 2020 at approximately 5pm.

The incident took place outside Trinity HFC takeaway on Trinity Street, Huddersfield at the junction with Portland Street.

Nineteen year old Andrew Ochomna from the Greenhead area and 19 year old Adnan Hussain from Birkby have been arrested, charged with affray and remanded for trial at Leeds Crown Court on Friday 12th June 2020.

Appeal: Attempted Robbery, Alder Street, Huddersfield

Police are appealing for witnesses who assisted the victim of an attempted robbery in Huddersfield.

Kirklees CID would like to speak to anyone who has information and in particular three witnesses who helped a man in an incident on Alder Street in Huddersfield on Saturday May 16.

Detectives are investigating the incident which took place between 8.20pm and 8.40pm on Saturday evening.

CCTV Appeal After Student Stabbed At Random, Headingley, Leeds

Detectives have released CCTV footage of a man they want to identify after a student was stabbed apparently at random in Leeds.

The victim, a 19-year-old man, had been returning home after visiting a shop and was walking in St Michael’s Lane, Headingley, near to the junction with Newport View and Gate D of Headingley Stadium, at about 8.30pm last night (19/5).

He was listening to music on headphones when he felt a blow to his back and realised he had been stabbed by a man who had come up behind him.

CCTV Appeal Over Shipping Container Thefts, Leeds.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to identify over the theft of two HGV trailers and shipping containers from a transport firm in Leeds.

The containers, one carrying clothing and the other garden furniture, were stolen from a business at The Copperworks, in Haigh Park Road, Stourton, on the evening of April 24.

Police Appeal For Witnesses After Serious Road Traffic Collision in Halifax

Police are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in Halifax yesterday (17/05).

At around 11pm, a black Ford Fiesta and a pedestrian were involved in a collision on Queens Road. The car was travelling in the direction of Hopwood Lane.

The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver stopped at the scene and is helping officers with their enquiries.

Officers are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.

Attempt Murder Charge- Armley Stabbing Incident

A 15 year old male has now been charged with Attempt Murder after a man was stabbed in an incident in Leeds on 14th May.

He is appearing before Leeds Magistrates this morning (16/05).

At 9.18pm yesterday (14/5) police were called Whingate, in Armley, where a 32-year-old man had been stabbed in the street.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. His condition remains stable and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Detectives Appeal For Public's Help After Body of Woman Found in Canal in Mytholmroyd

Police are appealing for information after the body of a woman was recovered from the canal near to Walkley Clogs between Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge.

At around 11.40am today, police were called to the canal where a member of the public reported seeing a body in the water.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers have been conducting enquiries into the circumstances and are working to establish the woman’s identity, but are appealing for information to help identify who she is.

More than £500,000 Worth of Suspected Class A Drugs Seized

Suspected drugs with an estimated street value of more than £500,000 have been seized by officers after a van was stopped on the A1M.

Officers stopped the van on the northbound carriageway of the motorway at 1000am yesterday (Thursday 14 May) and after searching it found 7kg of suspected cocaine.

The estimated street value is £560,000

Raj Seechurn, 38, of Wellesbourne Crescent, High Wycombe was due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court this morning charged with possession with intent to supply class a drugs.
