Three men have died after fatal A38 collision, Plymouth

Police have confirmed that three people have died as a result of a collision on Monday afternoon (5 June) on the A38, close to Plymouth. Their families have been informed.

At around 3.50pm police received a report of a serious collision involving one vehicle on the Plymouth-bound carriageway of the A38 around a mile before Marsh Mills roundabout.

A white van overturned. No other vehicles are thought to have been involved. Collision investigators were at the scene, with other emergency services. A thorough investigation was carried out and the whole Plymouth-bound carriageway, along with lane three of the Exeter-bound carriageway was closed throughout the night and was re-opened just after 7am on Tuesday morning.

Officers from the serious collisions unit at Crownhill police station are investigating the collision and are appealing for witnesses to contact them by emailing [email protected] or by calling 101 quoting incident number 582 of 5 June 2017.05/06/17.
