Three people charged after failing to comply with dispersal notices

Three people have been charged after protesters were dispersed from Jubilee Square yesterday evening (Friday 26 August).

James McLean, 38, of Waterloo Way, Leicester, Paul Freeman, 35, of Oronsay Road, Leicester, and Serena McKinnon, 32, of no fixed address, have been charged with failing to comply with a notice to disperse issued under powers from the Antisocial Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

They are all due to appear before Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 15 September.

The charges relate to reports of antisocial behaviour in Jubilee Square.
